Austin is a great city, there's no doubt about it. We want to continue to see it flourish. But the population explosion we've seen in the past several years is creating growth in unhealthy levels. It is evident every day in our grid-locked roads, overcrowded schools and exhausted city resources.

The value of a safe community cannot be understated. With our ever expanding population, our city emergency services are in need of a serious renovation. The 911 command center and city police, fire and EMS departments must be better equipped to respond promptly and efficiently.

Preserving quality of life in Austin is essential. Protecting our basic need of a steady and affordable water supply takes conservative efforts on everyones part. Jason will fight to ensure the city government is just as conservative with how this precious resource is used and protected. If residents of Austin are being asked to cut back, the utility managers should also do the same.
